Musings:

On Europe and long outdoor journeys: - limited toilet paper in restrooms (this I miss the most) - no air conditioning (second most missed) - needing to poop without a handy toilet - I found a toilet by no paper I used the cardboard tube because I was going outside to grab my tissues and risk it being taken. (and I noticed after the fact) - Lesson learned always check the toilet paper situation before going! - I am slowly gaining endurance day one I could only til one hour walking at normal pace now 5 hrs in is my tolerance. I'm still worse on uphill but if it is short and medium grade I don't even slow down anymore! - The municipal Hostels have like 100 beds in a room and smell like dirty feet and farts. But hell a bed is a bed. - Lots of people fart in their sleep and the start snoring no clue why. - been playing the slug bug game but with REAL slugs rather than cars. - ALWAYS fill up on water in town especially on hot days - take the time to eat and rest. It is not a bad idea or bad form to take your shoes and socks off and treat your feet if needed. - Your feet are being abused treat them with love when you aren't walking - talk to people regardless of language barriers. - relax and enjoy the environment. - keep a journal include names and where people are from for the future it is so easy to forget! That Is it for the moment. Any suggestions?

  1. Personally, I find walking up hill backwards is easier, for me anyway. Maybe you have to stop earlier in order to get a bed, which of course is most important. Your endurance increase is amazing. To get to the next stop all you have are your legs. That just amazes me. As I jump into my car. Even hundreds of years ago they had horses. Thanks for taking us with you on your incredible adventure! Don't miss out on getting 2 beds!!! I see you have a pony on your adventure. I wonder what happened to that person that had a bed then left??? You, Saffron and Claire can compare notes on your adventures when you get back. Ant L

    1. I tried backwards walking but the stones make it to dangerous for me. The other person had friends booked in a hotel. And yes mom gave me fluttershy though I may pass her to one of the younger people I see walking. Thanks for commenting!!

    2. Yeah, it's been paved surfaces when I walk backwards. I didn't think about that. Giving one of your fellow travelers your treasured pony would be a wonderful token! Hope you always find a bed!! Nice to hear from you! I called your parents, they were eating, but answered it anyway. I figured they are thinking they don't want to miss the chance it might be you >3 Almost time for your day to begin, have a FANTASTIC ONE. Ant L
