Started early 535 from Astorga to Foncebadón at 1235. Mostly uphill over my friends the rocks!
Since we didn't get any WiFi (weefee) last night it is difficult to compose a post. The first town with open food and a bathroom was very nice. This is Santa Catalina de samoza. I like the glowing stone ambiance.
Someone decided to add a nice splash of color to the traditional trail marker. Bastian reports that he took this picture with my mom in mind!

We met up with some people we thought we had lost. It is always nice to reconnect! Here I am entering Foncebadon! Was thinking of walking to cruz de Ferro (where you drop your rock off) but the long uphill walk really took its toll on my feet and ankles. I was happy to have a bed!
Good thing we didn't go up to the cross others said they were filming the German camino film there and not letting pilgrims close until they were done. This is the third Tim we have encountered them, hope they release it in America! It was a great night we were told we could not leave until 6am which was fine as we wanted to be at the cross for sunrise.
