Day 9 - oh my aching feet!

About 20.1 km today easy going left 6:30am - 12:00pm. The Albergue we are in amazing! It has high vaulted ceilings of wood and very clean facilities (lots of toilet paper). 200 beds split up amongst smaller rooms. Outlets at ever set of bunk beds. In the past we have found places at Hostels /Albergue's. If some day it is all full we will try hotel or taxi to next town. So far the Albergues have ranged from 5€/person to 17€/person. Some include a new most do not. Hotel is closer to 45-60€/person. So on to my feet. It is so nice to be lounging in the common area with sofas and my feet up. They ache so after such fail abuse. The last 4km are rather difficult to make them go on. The blisters are better some heal up more replace them. I am now a blister treating expert! Though everyone has their own methods. Tomorrow is Belorado about 22km away. If the weather stays nice should be ok! Did I mention the transgendered English lady I met yesterday? She is carrying a gigantic Tigger stuffed animal. Very nice lady she says she prefers sleeping outdoors under the stars, it helps her think. Next post photos from yesterday and today!

  1. I love the photo's because it shows us where you are, to be able to see horizons all the way around you every day, wow. ( thats why i love the beach so much, to be able to see the horizon line with no interferences !! )

especially the first pix with you and B. the sky behind you the exquisite color of the fields on either side and the texture of the ground ohhh my. looked at the photo's for a long long time. :D

Now, the pix you took at dawn when is absolutely magical, such beauty. I would love to have that professionally blown up and put it on the wall too look at every day !! (christmas is coming 'winks' )

even not being a 'morning person.. that kind of beauty must set the 'tone' inside you for a long time. the heat must make it soooo hard walking etc, but i wonder if the beauty surrounding you makes it all easier to get to the next town.
and yes it sure does look like you are losing weight/toning S . :
love and prayers for your safe walking

    even more inspired, mom
