Woke up knowing today would start with the last of a steep uphill. Thus we started later so we could have better visibility. 7am sunrise is abt 740am. Got up ate left and forgot my daily photo! The stars were out but only briefly soon the clouds descended. The first morning photo is of me hiking up the hill abt 15 min in. The second is after sunrise but the cloud cover is so thick it was still rather dark. The last is how I wish my morning had started - 10am at the top of the hill with a warm cup of cocoa!
So our guide made it seem like the uphill was only a abt 200 meters over a few km when in actuality it was 250 m up, 150 m down than 300 back up over 10km. This photo is at the first top where I thought "oh good the rest is downhill!" This is a statue at Alto San Roque !
This is me fighting against cold wind to the second peak Alto de Poio. At the top was a very well placed cafe!
Rush hour in Spain. Be careful someone got their foot stepped on the other day!
An interesting church in I think Fonfria. This marked the start of a steady descent!
Once the fog lifted the view was fantastic!
Even if the descent was a bit steep at times.
Tomorrow is Casa de Carmen in Barbedelo according to the map about 21 km! We will have a private room with 3 people. At the moment we have a third travelling with us a lady from Wisconsin who walks about the same pace. Feet are doing well. Only 6 days left and about 130km!!
That's some thick cloud covering!! But I guess that's better than sun beating down on you. I'm sorry to hear someone got their foot stepped on. Your feet are of prime importance right about now and don't need any further abuse than they are already getting. Don't those cows have any manners?? Must be nice to have a third along for awhile. I'm glad to hear your feet are fine!!! Some of your pictures just look magical. Like you've discovered a fairy wonderland. Ant L
