Our earliest start yet at 5:20am! I have the getting dressed and ready in the dark down pat now! My inner clock I quite amazing. I woke up at 4:45 and knew it was Tim to get up even though my phone (and clock) was charging in the bathroom. Bastian relies on me to wake him hah! I think Bastian seriously nailed the lighting in this photo.

Arrived by 11:40am that was 6 hrs and about 24km! We are staying in Espiritus Santos a Catholic run Hostel. The rooms are segregated unless you are married. The lady assumed Bastian and I were married so we are together this way I can still wake him for the morning :). The beds are REAL mattresses and not bunk beds it feel so luxurious. Laundry is completed. We walked and found the only open supermarket just before closing time! Being Sunday only limited things are open and for shortens hours so we got our breakfast. Tomorrow the first town I about 17km away. We will be ending in Terraldillos for about 27km. I am not certain but I suspect my boots are wearing thin. This may be why the rocks are bothering me so much more lately. I am looking for a shoe store but it was closed on Sunday. Hopefully tomorrow one will be open. Feet so sore but so is everyone else's! Only 16"days left. According to my book Terradillos is the midway point!

Thanks Bastian :) hope you find some great shoes. i bet with so many people walking, and shoes wearing out, there are some great shoe stores around? can you find some inserts maybe? they make really nice ones now, out of gel, that might be a temporary help for your aching feet. ReplyDeleteActually it did rain :( it was pouring at 5am we held off until 6:30 when it was not so bad. Sun up by 730pm made it even nicer I like to see when I walk.
