We ascended to 3,000m. Despite the overcast cooler weather the views were beautiful!
Well on one side of the mountain.
We had to transfer cable cars on the way up. The first was a standard enclosed style.
The other one was the first ever rotating cable car. It thought the whole thing soul move. Bit was I surprised when just the floor moved. It makes one complete revolution.
Once at the top you can walk a glacier cave. Pretty much a tunnel of ice. Cold.
It was awesome and cold. I am very proud of myself for not falling as the ground was all ice.
There is also the highest elevation suspension bridge in Europe. About 100m long they say the view is spectacular. You tell me -
A few more view photos. It was a really nice side trip. Our Eurorail passes got us free train there and 50% off the cable car tickets!
Beautiful pictures!!! (as usual) You wouldn't catch me on that suspension bridge!!!! But the view is spectacular!!! Ant L
