Ireland Kilkenny

We planned a quick stop in Kilkenny only to discover that it was free day and most places were free to enter!

Brunch was at this tasty creperie and cafe with a Russian server who had a rather thick Irish accent. I've encountered this a few times now and am unsure if it is a type of Irish accent or immigrants learning English in Ireland...

We didn't get much pictures as we had one goal in mind - Smithwicks beer tour. As we waited for the tour we toured through the Rothe house. A 17th century home with beautiful architecture. Here is the ceiling.

They had a little museum for Kilkenny in the building. Showing clothing from the locals.

And the claim to fame of a localman who says he I first in flight! I have a photo of his original propeller. I think my photographer was still waking up at this time.

And the garden where they were making apple cider and churning fresh butter! The photo is of a spiderweb I think.
