We attempted to tour the Jameson Whiskey facility but all tours were sold out. I'm nit a whiskey fan so I wasn't too let down.
We decided to wander over to the Brazen head pub. They claim to be the oldest pub in Ireland started circa 1198.
We really went there hoping to get a seat in their dinner theatre. We did!
The meal was fabulous! I got a fishcake, salmon, and homemade apple pie! Also beer of course! The smaller glass is cidre.
We had an Irish storyteller weaving us tales of the olden days and the faeryfolk. During the main course there was live traditional Irish folk music. The violinist played on a violin made in Dublin in 1178! It was a grand evening!
That was the end to a day and night in Dublin! I definitely needed another day to see everything else. However today we headed to Cork and the Blarney stone. Which was good as the news showed some big protest going on in Dublin today. I guess they are protesting getting charged for water? I am glad we weren't around for that Dublin was already overly crowded with buses and people.
No formal internet but our hotel room I just close enough to a restaurant with free WiFi! So it isn't great but does exist. Tomorrow is driving day around the ring of Kerry.
More great food and DRINK!!! Here in Vegas we would call that a dinner show you guys attended. If you don't get internet remember you have traveled back in time to the 12th century. :) Did you buy some cork while you were in cork?? Isn't that where the best corks come from? LOL It seems to me that a lot revolves around some sort of alcoholic beverage. Ant L
