We stopped for a spot of tea.
The town was a frequent holiday spot for Charlie Chaplin. There was even a life-size statue of him.
And a few bars. I guess you have to be creative to get customers?
We took a little detour to visit Valentia island. The island this is where the spot for the first transatlantic cable. It went to Nova Scotia.
We hiked a 5 km loop around the stunning cliffs. I like that they provide a ladder to get over the fence
The views were breathtaking. Though it was a little muddy in places. Worth the hike to just stand on the cliff side and watch the ocean.
Really the whole ring of Kerry is full of views.
I'm a bit behind on my blog posting. We are back in England but I still have one Ireland day left to revisit.
I love those rugged ocean views!!! And that's cool that Charlie Chaplin visited a lot!! Well the Irish definitely have a sense of humor!! Ant L
