Ireland - ring of Kerry part 1

180km about 118mile drive around the county of Kerry. I'd say leisurely drive but the speed limit 60 mph. During the high season it is filled with buses today it wasn't very crowded. We decided to take the whole day to tour around. Our Nic note guy Shaun gave us a must see highlight list 12 items). He said it should only take a couple of hours of course he was the same Irishman who said the Blarney castle was 5 minutes away.

Starting in Killarney we went clockwise around at the Insistence of Shaun and his list. Found out most people go the other way around. But Shaun said he was from the area and this is how he does it. So we were playing locals today.

Our first stop Ross castle. Beautiful view. On a lake. It was still chilly so no boat excursion for us.

Next was the Torc Waterfall. We walked a nice 3km loop and warmed up some. By the time we were finished the fog had burned off the day turned out beautiful!

The views are simply stunning. Here is a stop called Ladies view.

Right across the way was this. I did not spot a leprechaun maybe because I looked too hard.
