Porto - Beach walking

After a nice relaxing morning complete with free breakfast we took the Metro to the beach!

It was so nice to feel the sand between my toes and the Col water flow over my feet!

Relaxed on some rocks.

Walked out to rocks via wooden slats. In America there would have been handrails! It was truly a beautiful day.

There is a 12 km walking trail along the ocean and river. It was difficult not to take a photo every 5 steps!

Lunch was good too. Even had a riverfront view. This is Cod with onion and potato in a tasty sauce.

Random statue?

River view. We could see fish swimming. Some were dead and other fish appeared to be eating the dead ones.

Toured the Port museum in Porto. It wasn't as exciting as we had hoped but it was free!

It is about 5pm and we are back at the So cool Hostel ready for shower and naps. However no naps today as we have an early departure tomorrow for London!

  2. I JUST GOT YOUR POSTCARD!!! :) Yes it is Sunday. My mail is deposited into a box located next to my front door attached to the house. So I have to physically lift the lid and look into it to get the mail. Yesterday I forgot. Anyway, glad you enjoy my posts. I LOVE YOUR BLOG!!! I love the postcard of all the sights you saw on your journey!! You're right, in the postcard you said you'd be in London and considering the time difference you should be. The first thing I noticed in Belgium was there are a lot of Christmas trees and everything is clean. I'm looking forward to your photo of the perfect toilet lol Ant L
