We walked a lot around the town. Actually we even stayed an extra day so we could just relax and wander more.
Really it I beautiful here day or night. Our Hostel Lybeer has just been lovely despite the steep steps to get into the room. The building was built in 1890 and you can definitely tell people were smaller, shorter. We are pretty central to good food and the market square.
Two nights ago we had Chinese dinner the waiter was ecstatic when we asked for chopsticks. We got special treatment. I guess no one ever asks for chopsticks. He brought us a little warmer to set the plates of food on and bowls to fill from the plates and eat from.
We toured through another church this one claims to have Jesus' blood. They display it all day. The church is beautiful as most churches are. It is filled with paintings.
And stained glass.
I'm going to miss Belgium. Everything has been lovely from the weather to the people and food. Today we are heading up to Amsterdam and Netherlands for the weekend. We made reservations for a countryside bus tour on Saturday. So I hope weather holds up but regardless it will be a great adventure!
BEATIFUL PICTURES!!!!

Ah, so everything seemed better-suited for short people, hmm? So Bastian might have had some problems but you must've felt right at home? ;K)
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting about the chopsticks. I'll have to ask Shaun if anyone in the UK bothers with them.
Yes I am perfect sized medieval Europe. We often walk into a room and imagine what Jamie would look like in it. Haha!
