As we were leaving Shamrock we watched a big semi hauling a propeller for a wind turbine. Wow those things are huge!
Our first stop was McLean, Tx and the Devils Rope museum. Devils rope is barbed wire and I had no idea there were so many different types. If you want to know more about the history of ranching, rope, and fences this is the museum for you! Actually it was quite fascinating.
Next Groom, TX with their big cross and a last super sculpture.
I already posted about around Amarillo with the peace park, Big Texan, Bug ranch, legs, and Cadillac ranch!
It was a lovely night in Tucumcari we relaxed in the courtyard ate our loaded ramen dinner and enjoyed the sunset. Our hotel room at motel Safari was adorable. They had a radio playing the 'route 66 station' and Complimentary laundry services complete with soap and dryer sheets. It was super nice to relax and get the laundry done before the last stretch!
