Cruising Alaska

For the past 7 days or so I've been without net access but not without my camera. Instead of splitting them up amongst a bunch of blogs I decided to just combine them here. So here you have it -

The Gas powered clock in Vancouver, BC Canada

Sushi display on the ship. It was quite good :)

Dog sledding over the dirt. here was my team of 16 dogs

And some puppies I got to play with afterward.

Toilet with a view in Skagway, AK

An old wash basin set up in one of the houses in Ketchikan, AK

After Zip Lining through the Tongass Rainforest I had to pull off my high heels and cross this suspension bridge. You should check out the video I posted on my you tube

The train trip through White Mountain Pass was gorgeous despite the overcast weather.

Another white mountain Pass photo. An ominous photo of an old bridge spanning the gulch. the story i heard was miners use to bring horses weighted with their equipment across this bridge, many a horse would fall off and find it's doom in the gulch far below.

A glacier. There were lots of glaciers and no picture really did them justice. This is one of the college point glaciers you can see how it is fed by two other glaciers

A closeup view of the portage glacier. This is the closest i got to a glacier (about 300 yards) one could almost hear it moving. I love the blue coloring.

A waterfall near the portage glacier. There are a lot of waterfalls around most being runoff from the snow atop the mountains.

And lastly a nice Alaskan beer to end your day. Sadly this is the final picture of gray squirrel as shortly after his drink he got lost in Skagway missing the boat home.
