Taiko

Today I was fortunate enough to see the San Jose Taiko Drummers perform at our local theater. They were so full of energy and verve! It was a spectacular show.

Nostalgia

On 4/20/2010 after the Tuesday dinner and movie a group of us went to The Pub for a beer. One person was drawing in his sketchbook and I really liked his thinking pose so I snapped a photo. This making it as My Picture for that day. However I was remiss in uploading/updating.

Reflections

One of the ponds at Cox Arboretum. I really like the reflected trees, clouds and sky in contrast with the lily pads.

Brotherly Visit

Well Over this past weekend my brother came out to visit. We did a bunch of things but mostly sat around and relaxed!


We frequented the Starbucks Coffeehouse. It is open 24 hours and my bro gets free wi-fi there!

Spring was in full bloom so I took the bro to see tulips!


and a tent caterpillar web? This was really creepy because the caterpillars inside were wiggling around and we had no clue what it was.


Lastly, we visited my local irish Pub. Mmm Stella.

Dragon fruit!

Doesn't it look tasty? I didn't get a chance to try any but I found Dragon Fruit for sale at Jungle Jim's.

My Irises are in full bloom. I like the contrasting color of the iris and tulip.

Bicycling

Today a friend and I went biking along the miami river.

Large portions of the path were covered in wildflowers.


Some ATVers digging up the grass off the bike path. they were turning around ont he bike path getting mud everywhere.

Hiking

Well the weather was nice yesterday so I opted to go on a little hike. This is SugarCreek metropark.


I was surprised to smell campfire but upon inquiring I was told they periodically burn the prairie areas so they don't turn forest and come back with beautiful wildflowers in the summer. I will have to see how this place looks in a month or so.


One of the 'Three Sisters' Basically three really old trees in one area. This was the big one.


Another of the three sisters. Sadly someone set fire to her and they had to lay her to rest. I could just about stand up inside the hallowed out trunk I am 5'3"


Lastly beds of little wildflowers were blossoming everywhere it was gorgeous!
